Iris B. Conaty

December 2, 1928 - January 13, 2016

Iris B. Conaty, 87, of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at her residence.  She was born December 2, 1928 in Huntington, a daughter of the late William Lewis Belville and Hettie Mae Miller Belville.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Conaty; 5 brothers, Roy Belville, Raymond Belville, Jesse Belville, Robert Belville and Billy Belville; and 2 sisters, Irene Kincaid and Ruby Ball.  Iris was retired as a clerk for the C & O Railway, a member of the 26th St. Baptist Church, where she was very active in the Sunday School program and a member of the former C & O Railway Women’s Club.  Survivors include her daughter, Pamela K. Conaty of Huntington; and 2 sisters, Lucille Wight of Portsmouth, OH and Juanita Curry of Proctorville, OH.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, January 18, 2016 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastor Tim Arthur officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park.
