    James L. Davidson, 86, of South Point, OH went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 28, 2016.  He was born September 9, 1929 in Ironton, OH, a son of the late Robert Lee Davidson, Sr. and Myrtle Neece Davidson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Kathleen Sheppard, Maxine Sloan and Eileen Sutton.  Jim was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army, retired as a computer control operator for Ashland Oil, a member of South Point Christian Church and a member of South Point Masonic Lodge #497 F. & A.M.  Survivors include his wife, Marilyn R. Corn Davidson; 2 sisters, Delores Whitley of Ironton and Elizabeth Austin of South Point; 2 brothers, Robert Davidson and Ronald (Kathryn) Davidson, both of South Point; nieces, Carol (Clint)  McElroy, Joellen (Steven) Williams, Jackie (Domingo) Ramirez, Robin (Tom) Blake,  Delores Sloan, and Marva (James) Crabtree; nephews, Greg Davidson, Chuck (Judy) Austin, Robert (Pat) Sloan and Jimmy (Jane) Sloan; and a host of great nieces, nephews and friends.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2016 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Jerry Greenslait and Sam Cooke officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to South Point Christian Church.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
