Brandon Wayne Penn, 33 of South Point, OH passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY. Funeral services will be 12 PM Monday, July 3, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Burlington, OH with Bishop Charles D. Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Burlington, OH. Brandon was born October 7, 1983 in Beckley, WV a son of Wayne Randolph Penn and JoAnn Thompson Penn. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alice and Ennis Thompson; and paternal grandparents, Edward and Thelma Penn. Brandon graduated from South Point High School and worked at Woolums Customs in South Point, OH. He was an avid Ohio State fan and dearly loved his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Miranda McGranahan; his daughter, Sophia Taylor Penn; a sister, Akira Penn; three brothers, Mikal Penn, Thelmon Penn and Jaron Penn; two nieces; two nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his closest friends, Chris Robinson, Bert “Buddy” Barker and Larry Fox. Visitation for friends will be 5 to 7 PM Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH and an hour before the service Monday at First Baptist Church in Burlington, OH.
