Charles Wesley Wheeler

June 24, 1939 - July 21, 2017

Charles Wesley Wheeler, 78, of South Point, OH passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV.  He was born June 24, 1939 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Samuel and Stella Layne Wheeler.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and Bill Wheeler.  Charles was a former Dry Cleaner for Coyne Textile and loved to work on cars and trucks.  He is survived by his wife, Ella L. Mooney Wheeler; his children, Carol Wheeler of South Point, OH, Charles Wheeler, Jr. of Ashland, KY, Donald Wheeler of Ashland, KY, Rick Wheeler of FL and Alma Wheeler of Ashland, KY;  two sisters, Dora Stevens of Marion, OH and Ruth Cannoy of Ashland, KY; two brothers, Samuel Wheeler and Larry Wheeler both of Ashland, KY; a sister-in-law, Nancy Wheeler of Ashland, KY; several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.    Per Charles request, there will be no services.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
