Evelyn Sue Brown, 49, of Huntington, WV passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her home. She was born May 3, 1968 in Columbus, OH, a daughter of Manuel and Betty Spurlock Carter. She was preceded in death by a son Darren Matthew Brown; and a brother, Johnny A. Carter. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Darren Max Brown; two daughters, Sara Brown and Nicole Brown; a sister, Ada Marie Todd; two brothers, Keith Carter and Manuel Carter; and grandchildren, Khloee Brown, Aiden Hutchinson and expected granddaughter, Neveah Lynn Rice. Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Mike Dement officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Myrtle Ridge Cemetery, Kitts Hill, OH.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.   Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
