James Morris Freeman, II

James “Jim” Morris Freeman II, 58, of South Point, OH, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was born February 2, 1959 in Huntington, WV, the son of Betty Freeman and the late James M. Freeman I. James is survived by his wife, Beth Bond Freeman; five children, Jeannie Keith, James Freeman III, Brittany Burton, Ashley Scanlon and Lester Counts; two sisters, Charalee Fliehman and Angela Patterson; eight grandchildren, Shelby, Jacob, Olivia, Korbin, Maddi, Molly, Landon and Levi and a special nephew, Heath Fliehman. Jim worked at Service Pump and Supply as a mechanic. He was a member of South Point Nazarene Church and loved his church family. He was a family man and loved spending time with his grandbabies. Jim always loved working on cars, going to car shows and drag racing. He had a need for speed. He was loved deeply and will be sadly missed. Funeral Service will be 1 PM Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Rev. Robert Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, OH.
