Dale Luther Floyd

Dale Luther Floyd, 78, of South Point, OH passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.  He was born November 21, 1938 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Merle Luther Floyd and Helen Metheney Floyd.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Brenda C. Floyd; one brother, Bruce Floyd and one sister, Judy Thomas.  He was a veteran of the US Navy and US Air Force, a member of the Masonic Lodge South Point Local #497 and retired from AK Steel as an Electrician.  He is survived by his wife, Norma Floyd; his children, Lisa (Don) Floyd Millhouse, Steve (Sandy) Floyd, Glenna (Brian) Wells; step-children, Mark and Frank Artis, Sean (Susie) Goody and Tommy Loyer; three sisters, Patty (Harold)Walden, Jacki (Ed) Miller and Ginny (Jack) Davidson; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
