Alice Marie Johnson Perdue

August 19, 1931 - July 9, 2018

Alice Marie Johnson Perdue, 86 of Ceredo, WV passed away peacefully, July 9th, 2018 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born August 19th, 1931 in Ashland, KY to Harvey Eugene and Virgie Catherine Manning Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard Stanley Perdue; her precious daughter, Martha Gayle Perdue Gilkerson; and her five sisters: Catherine Louise Johnson, Clara Mae McKenzie, Ruby Jean Johnson, Charlotte Francis Childers, and Mary Maxine Sansing. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Joan Lauren and her husband Rupert Charles Robateau; son-in-law Donald Richard Gilkerson; her brother Walter Eugene Johnson; her four cherished grandchildren: Lisa Catherine (Joseph) Northup, Erin Elizabeth (David) Rich, Meghan Marie (Nathaniel) Henderson, Zachary Ryan Robateau; six great grandchildren: Savannah, Judson, Bennett, Cooper, Brooks and Keaton; and eleven nieces and nephews. Alice was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, a beloved Sunday school teacher, and will be greatly missed.  Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Dr. Ford Price officiating.  Burial will follow at Ceredo Crescent Hill, Ceredo, WV.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
