Anna Ruth Hester

Anna Ruth Hester, 84, of Ashland, KY passed away Friday, August 3, 2018. She was born May 17, 1934 in Knott County, KY, daughter of the late William Marshall and Minnie Faye Mosley Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Dean Hester; a sister, Billie Faye Sweeney and grandson, Austin Gregory Hester. Anna was a graduate of Ashland High School, where she was a majorette. She was baptized in 1963 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Ashland Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Anna is survived by her four children, William Dean (Rona) Hester of South Point, OH, Keith Allen (Melinda) Hester of Ashland, KY, Lesley Carlson (Patti) Hester of Elizabethtown, KY and Eric Neal (Laura) Hester of Catlettsburg, KY; three sisters, Peggy Shannon Hutchens of Ashland, KY, Benita Colleen Hayes of Huntsville, AL and Pamela Adele (Mark) Williams of Huntsville, AL; nine grandchildren, Shell Hester of Ashland, KY, Rhiannon Hester of Ashland, KY, Shannon (Gretchen) Hester of Ironton, OH, Tyler (Kelly) Hester of Catlettsburg, KY, Lorinda (Jonathan) Hanebuth of Atlanta, GA, Brandon Hester of Ashland, KY, Jessica (Josh) Roncaglione of Clover, SC, Katy Hester of Lexington, KY and Lexie Hester of Coal Grove, OH and six great grandchildren, Isabella Hester of Ashland, KY, Riley Hester of Ironton, OH, Drake Hanebuth of Atlanta, GA, Rindey Hanebuth of Atlanta, GA, Jaxson Hester of Lexington, KY and Mason Roncaglione of Clover, SC. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Ashland Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
