Stephanie M. Weighmink

August 20, 1977 - August 8, 2018

Stephanie Marie Burcham Weighmink, 40 of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of South Point, OH passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018.  She was born August 20, 1977 in Columbus, OH, daughter of Elizabeth “Betty” Ferguson Burcham, South Point, OH and the late Donald L. Burcham.   In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fredrick Harold Ferguson and Irene Adkins Ferguson.  Stephanie graduated from Grace Christian Academy and attended Marshall University and the University of Kentucky.  She worked with children her whole life.  She was a daycare/preschool assistant director and worked most recently at Cypress Lake High School with special needs children.  Stephanie would be honored that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Autism Speaks or a children’s charity of one‘s choice  Survivors include her husband, Scott Weighmink; two children, Kaleb James Daniels and Parker Elizabeth Ann Daniels; two sisters, Sharel Burcham (Marc) Templeton, Lexington, KY and Donna (Tim) Hunt, South Point, OH; half-sister, Carla Powell-Watkins; four nephews, Reed Templeton, David Templeton, Michael Hunt and Cody Hunt;  sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joe and Mandy Shupe, Holland, MI; father-in-law, Louis Weighmink, Holland, MI; and mother-in-law, Judy Woodwyk, Ft. Myers, FL.  Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Friday, August 17, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH.  Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
