Gloria Anne Lynd Crabtree

Gloria Anne Lynd Crabtree, 88, of South Point, OH passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born April 24, 1930 in Lawrence County, OH, daughter of the late Merlin and Pauline Willis Lynd. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, David Dillon and Larry Lynd; one grandson, Sean Thornburgh and loving stepmother, Beverly Lynd. Anne retired from the VA Medical Center after working many years as an Eligibility Clerk. She was the first woman to become an Emergency Medical Technician in Lawrence County, OH. Anne was currently working at M & M Reality as a Real Estate Agent and was a member of South Point United Methodist Church. She is survived by her four children, Dian (Trudy) Hall of Proctorville, OH, Jan (Jeff) Markins of Chillicothe, OH, Jeri Crabtree of Huntington, WV and Anthony (Tera) Crabtree of South Point, OH; four sisters, Dixie Staley, Kitty Lipscomb, Carol Sullivan and Emma Stewart; one brother, Andy Lynd; 6 grandchildren, Adam Markins, Andrea Markins, Jordan Anderson, Cory Crabtree, Darren Meara and David Thornburgh; nine great grandchildren and an abundance of extended family and friends. Funeral Service will be 11 AM on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Jamie Mosley officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. Friends may visit from 5 to 9 PM on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH.
