Gladys Edna MacPherson

Gladys Edna MacPherson, 82, of South Point, OH, passed away Friday, September 07, 2018.  She was born February 7, 1936 in Logan County, WV, daughter of the late Flem and Elsie McNeely Oliver.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; Charlie Elkins and Joseph MacPherson; three sisters, Martha McCoy, Nettie Adams and Hattie Varney; five brothers, Philmore Oliver, Robert Varney, Robert Thompson, Troy Oliver and Roy Oliver.  Gladys loved gardening, sewing and cooking.  She was a faithful Christian who loved her family and church friends dearly.  She is survived by her children, Doran Elkins of South Point, OH and Patricia (Roger) Wilson of South Point, OH; four grandchildren, Charles Elkins of South Point, OH, Becky Holland of Huntington, WV, Kristin (Cody) Lindley of Warsaw, IN and Carol Bowser (Kevin Johnson) of Church Hill, TN; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be 2 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Evangelist Jimmy Morrison officiating.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Burlington, OH.  Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
