    Roger D. Riggs, 63, of South Point, OH passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.  He was born December 23, 1954 in Huntington, WV, a son to Virginia L. Fry Riggs Rickman of Huntington, WV and the late James R. Riggs.  In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Riggs and Keith Riggs.  Roger was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Summit Federal Prison as a Guard and Counselor.  Following his retirement from the prison, he worked as a custodian for Cabell County Board of Education and loved to hunt and fish in his spare time.  Survivors include his wife, Lois Lawson Riggs; three children, Roger B. Riggs of South Point, OH, Virginia M. Riggs-Sullivan of South Point, OH and Cory E. Riggs of South Point, OH; four sisters, Teresa (Allen) Combs of South Point, OH, Sherry Tooley of South Point, OH, Belinda (David) Gibson of Huntington, WV and Garnet (Butch) Dudding of Huntington, WV; two brothers, John (LaDonna) Riggs of Huntington, WV and David (Pam ) Riggs of Huntington, WV and seven grandchildren, Kylee I. Riggs, Gage Riggs, Sarah Sullivan, Hayden Sullivan all of South Point, OH, Cory Michael Riggs (Crystal), Hunter Reid and Hannah Jade all of VA.  Funeral Service will be 2 PM Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Terry Wagner officiating.  Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
