Shirley F. Smith

Shirley F. Smith, 75, of South Point, OH passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at her home.  She was born June 13, 1943, daughter of the late Peyton Hendricks and Margaret Louise Hayes Ramsey.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Smith; and two brothers, Danny Hendricks and Bobby Hendricks.  Shirley worked as a machine operator at Corbins, LTD and was a clerk for McSweeney’s Mill and Mine.  She is survived by two children, Marcia (David) Zahniser of South Point, OH and Kimberly (Shane) Black of South Point, OH; two brothers, William (Marcia) Hendricks of Bellville, IL and Paul Hendricks of Chapel Hill, TN; 5 grandchildren, Bobby Smith, Kali Elkins, Corey (Elizabeth) Thompson, Courtney Hampton and Madison Knapp; and two great grandchildren, Isaiah Elkins and Nora Thompson.   Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Audie Eplion, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington, WV.  Friends may visit from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2018 at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
