Charles Lamont Linthicum, 39, of Burlington, OH was called by God from labor to rest on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born April 24, 1974 in Huntington, WV to Charles and Barbara Linthicum of Burlington, OH. Lamont graduated Cum Laude from South Point High School in 1992. He was one of the biggest fans that South Point Sports has ever had and was honored with a lifetime pass to all home sporting events. Lamont worked for Tri-State Industries in Coal Grove, OH. Lamont was a die-hard Bengals fan, as well as an all-around avid sports fan of “the winning team.”
Most importantly, Lamont loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Burlington where he was Honorary Deacon, Church drummer, member of the Male Chorus, Laymen’s ministry, past member of the Singers of Distinction and Chaplain of the Sunday School.
Lamont was preceded in death by a sister, Candice Janine; a brother, Dustin Blake; paternal grandmothers, Eva Linthicum and Ruth Linthicum; maternal grandparents, Billy Pat Troxler and Georgetta Troxler.In addition to his parents, Lamont is survived by a brother, Nolan (Susan) Linthicum of Greenup, KY; a sister, Angela (Robert) Young of Burlington, OH; grandfather, James H. Linthicum, Sr. of Burlington, OH; nephews, Dustin Linthicum, Ezra Young and Jaden Young; nieces, Sierra Linthicum and Lyric Young; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Service will be November 22, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Burlington located at 7475 County Road One, Burlington, OH with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Dr. Douglas C. Carter will officiate. Interment will be at Burlington 37 Cemetery immediately following the service. Condolences may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
