Morris B. (Jake) Morron, 81 of South Point, OH died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be at 6:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2014 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH. Military honors by American Legion Post 16 will be held following the service. Jake was born April 22, 1932 in Bloomington, IN, a son of the late Bracie and Maude Chambers Morron. He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant with 21 years of service with the U. S. Air Force; a former letter carrier for the U. S. Postal Service; worked at Home Depot and Lowe’s for a number of years; had a passion for woodworking and furniture making and was a devoted family man; and was a member of the American Legion Post 16 in Huntington and the South Point Masonic Lodge #497. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Morron; 7 brothers; 1 sister; and a special aunt, Suzie. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Faye Thompson Morron; 6 children, Dale (Joanne) Morron, Dean (Nell Burch) Morron, Wanda (Cesar) Rodriguez, Susan (Mark) Eaches, Terri (Mike) Mazzone and Mike (Cheryl) Swain; 4 sisters, Irene Powell, Kathy Evans, Nancy Norman and Phyllis Bircher; 1 brother, Jerry Joe Morron; 10 grandchildren, Jason Eaches, Justin Eaches, Rebecca Carmon, Taylor Mazzone, Joseph Morron, Amanda Rodriguez, Sandra Rodriguez, Cara Rodriguez, Kacie Burge and Hayley Swain; and 3 great grandchildren, Braelyn Eaches, Brenley Eaches and Cheyenne Morron.
