Forrest Hamlin

Forrest “Hob” Hamlin, 78, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Ohio with Rev. Harold Hamlin and Pastor Dale Barnett officiating. Entombment will follow at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. “Hob” was born July 30, 1935 in Lawrence County, Ohio a son of the late Earl and Alberta Henson Hamlin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Ann. He was a member of Defender United Methodist Church and retired from C.M. Love Hardware. He is survived by his wife June Hamlin of 58 years; three sons, Larry (Brecka) Hamlin, Ronnie (Anease) Hamlin and Earl (Peggy) Hamlin; one sister, Dorothy Hamlin Simmons Christian; two brothers, Bernard (Jean) Hamlin and Ralph (Mary) Hamlin; nine grandchildren, Courtney, Tyler, Chris, Ronease, Joey, Brandon, Trevor, Alex and Rian; 13 great grandchildren, Chelsea, Blake, Jonah, Brecka Jo, Chloe, Larry David, Krisztian, Kadelyn, Aden, Liam, Eli, Peyton and Kelton and several nieces and nephews.
