Dorothy Mae Evans, 81 of South Point, OH, passed peacefully away on April 17, 2014
at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Steve Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH.

She was the daughter of the late Lee and Cassie (Adkins) Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Evans, daughter Lisa Marie Evans, grandson Joe Dale Butcher, II, and brother Lyle Hutchinson.

She was a loving mother to her children–daughter Teresa (Hal) Jeter of Ashland, KY, son Duane (Prudence) Evans of South Point, OH, and Charlene (Greg) Casto of Huntington, WV. She is survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She is also survived by three sisters–Judy (Don) Helton of Phoenix, AZ, Reba (George) Hall of Mooresville, NC, and Linda Helton of Port Orange, FL.

Dorothy leaves behind many close friends and neighbors who were always “family” in her home.
