Patricia Annette “Miss Patti” Welton, 52, of South Point, OH passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Solida Missionary Baptist Church, South Point, OH with Pastor Aaron Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, OH. Miss Patti was born June 11, 1961 in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Linzey and Rebecca Thompson Chaffin both of Palm Coast, FL. She worked as a bank teller at Liberty Federal in Proctorville, OH. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, David Welton; a daughter, Meaghanne Welton of South Point, OH; two sisters, Lisa (John) Kittrell of Palm Coast, FL and Libby (Frank) Mitchell of Sand Springs, OK; a brother, Steve (Tammy) Chaffin of Proctorville, OH; a sister-law-in, Mary (Ron) Herbert of Albany, OH; and mother-in-law Stella Welton of South Point, OH. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 PM at Solida Missionary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
