Thelma Margaret Malone, 79, of South Point, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth, Ohio. Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Church of Christ, 10 & Vine, Ironton, Ohio with Jason Ridgeway officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Thelma was born October 1, 1934 in Aberdeen, Ohio, a daughter of the late Albert and Marie Pfeffer Gast. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Malone; two brothers, Donald and John Gast; and a sister Mary Jean Eyler. She was co-owner and office manager of Malone Mobile Home Sales and a member of Church of Christ, 10th & Vine, Ironton, Ohio. Thelma is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ray Malone; four children, Susan Malone, Dave (Valerie) Malone, Marilyn Staley and Diane (Rick) Lawson all of South Point, Ohio; a sister, Doris Gaither of Ripley, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Sherri Willey of Winfield, WV; 11 grandchildren, Betsy Hughes, Raven Malone, Melissa Lewis, Amanda Malone, Natalie Malone, Nikki Lewis, Jaclyn Butcher, Cody Lawson, Derek Lawson, Leah Lawson and Levi Lawson; 15 great grandchildren; and many friends. Friends may call 6 to 8 PM Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at Church of Christ, 10th & Vine.
