Charles R. “Chuck” Nunley, 53, of Rush, KY passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland, KY. Charles was born July 6, 1961 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Roy Talbert and Patsy Ann Johnson Simms. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 nephews, Jeremiah Nunley and Greg McKenzie. He was a carpet technician for Stanley Steamer Carpet Cleaner, a member of American Legion Post 76 and Fraternal Order of Eagles 2329 in Ashland, KY. Charles is survived by 3 sisters, Judy (Gerald) Dillon of Flatwoods, KY, Sally (Mike) Conley of Rush, KY and Melissa Simms of Flatwoods, KY; 2 brothers, Donald (Catherine) Nunley of Flatwoods, KY and Michael Nunley of Rush, KY; 3 nephews; and 2 nieces. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Ohio. The family wishes to invite their friends to remain after the visitation for refreshments in the banquet room at the funeral home.
