Wanda J. Eaches

Wanda J. Eaches, 83, of Ironton, Ohio passed away October 24, 2014 at Oakmont Manor, Flatwoods, KY. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Hecla Cemetery, Hecla, OH. Wanda was born December 3, 1930 in Lawrence County, OH, a daughter of the late Andrew and Ida Sanders Shope. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eaches; two sons, James Smith and Robert Smith; step daughter, Patricia Butler (Eaches); granddaughter, Amanda Hayes (Bryant); a sister, Lillian Webb Stewart; and a brother, Andrew Shope, Jr. She was very active with the senior citizens center, Ironton, OH and loved to play bingo. Wanda is survived by her children, Carol (Sonny) Bryant of Portsmouth, OH, Donna (Bob) Massey of Belpre, OH, Betty (Bob) Pancake, Paul Smith, Rick Smith, Bill Smith, Debbie (Clifford) Crabtree, Faye (Jerry) Hammond all of Ironton, OH and Darrell (Linda) Eaches of South Point, OH; two step sons, Michael (Cheryl) Eaches of VA and Tom Eaches of Iowa; 30 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Ray Shope, Don Shope and Glen Shope.
