Ralph G. Coburn, 75, South Point, OH passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, KY. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2014 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Ralph was born December 3, 1938 in Ashland , KY, a son of the late Charles and Shirley Wright Coburn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, William Coburn, Joe Coburn and Carl Coburn. He retired as a millwright from Ironton Iron, was a veteran of the United States Army, an active member of Burlington Baptist Church until his illness in 2011 and coached South Point Little League baseball for over 25 years. Ralph is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Robinson Coburn; 3 sons, Ralph Coburn of South Point, OH, Randy Coburn of South Point, OH and Rick Coburn of Atlanta, GA; a granddaughter, Britanni Mills of Huntington, WV; 2 brothers, Kenneth Coburn of Pedro, OH and Russell Coburn of South Point, OH; 4 sisters, Dorothy Meredith of Port Hueneme, CA, Shirley Haines of Russellville, KY, Anna Lou Robinson of Deering , OH and Jennifer (Jerry) Vaughn of Ironton, OH; several nieces and nephews; and 5 sisters-in-law, Pat Coburn of Ironton, OH, Carolyn (Justin) Simpson of Scottown, OH, Regina Robinson of Scottown, OH, Susy Wray of Gallipolis, OH and Bessie Robinson of Gallipolis, OH.
