Donald James Hughes, 37, of South Point, OH passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OH. He was born September 24, 1977 in Columbus, OH, a son of Virginia Lee Dutcher Hughes of South Point and the late James Ellis Hughes. Donald was employed at Randy’s Salvage in Coal Grove as a mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Francine Gilbert Hughes; 5 children, Blake Hughes, Sean Hughes, Kaylee Hughes, Tristian Hughes and Cole Hughes; a sister and fiancé, Brandi Hughes and Mikey Barnett of Coal Grove, OH; a brother and sister-in-law,, James Ellis and Millisa Hughes, II of South Point; and 5 nephews, Drew, Tyler, Bailey, Dominic and Jake. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Sammie Cooke officiating.
