David Lee Russell, Sr., 67, of Pedro, OH passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland, KY. Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, with Ronnie Blagg officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery, Aid, OH. David was born May 18, 1947 a son of the late Elmer “Kitty” Russell, Sr. and Edna Irene Cole Russell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step daughter, Melissa Isom; and a brother Michael Lee Russell. He was a graduate of Rock Hill High School, a second switchman for Ironton Coke and also worked at Jo-Lin Health Center. David is survived by his wife Diana Gail Webb Russell; five children, David Russell, Jr. of Ironton, OH, Daryl (Cindy) Russell of Pedro, OH, Donnie (Melissa) Russell of South Webster, OH, Brenda (David) Tackett of Pedro, OH and Allen (Tiffany)Russell of Pedro, OH; step-children, Junie DePriest, Jr. and Mikey DePriest both of Ironton, OH; two brothers , Elmer “Buzz” (Debbie) Russell of Marion, OH and Danny Russell of Marion, OH; 21 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren .
