James Robert Mineer, Jr., 50, of Ironton, OH died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland, KY. He was born February 11, 1965 in Ashland, a son of James Robert Mineer, Sr. of KY and Rosa Lee Caudill of Argillite, KY. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Weston Timothy Michael Mineer. Jim was a contractor and mechanic, a graduate of East Carter High School, a member of First Baptist Church of Ironton and a regular attendee of New Day Disciples Motorcycle Ministry. He is survived by his wife, Bobi Keaton Mineer; his children, Michael David Mineer of Ironton, Allison Marie Young of Grayson, KY, Tabitha Shae’ Young of Louisville, KY, Brandon Wesley Mineer of KY and Stephanie Hettinger of Lucasville, OH; a sister, Sheila Mineer of Cannonsburg, KY; and 10 grandchildren, Paeson Avery Joe Mineer, Autumn, Bella and Caleb Young, Keiona, Jaxson and Taylor Young and Lila, Marissa and Mark Rideout. Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2015 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastors Eric Barnes, Tony Schneider and Terry Wagner officiating.
