Gary Freeman

Gary Freeman, 75, of South Point, OH died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born September 23, 1939 in Ironton, OH, a son of the late Albert Lee Freeman and Anna Frances Netherly Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James F. Freeman. Gary was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a 1957 graduate of South Point High School. He was a carpenter and contractor and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include 4 sisters, Thelma McComas of South Point, Doris Reyes of Alamogordo, NM, Marrietta “Sam” Boevers and husband, Robert of Crossville, TN and Linda Kay Bowman and husband, Donald of Sevierville, TN; 1 brother, Dale Freeman and wife, Verna of South Point; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Ronnie Johnson of South Point. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastor Aaron Childers officiating.
