    Gary Freeman, 75, of South Point, OH died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born September 23, 1939 in Ironton, OH, a son of the late Albert Lee Freeman and Anna Frances Netherly Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James F. Freeman. Gary was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a 1957 graduate of South Point High School. He was a carpenter and contractor and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include 4 sisters, Thelma McComas of South Point, Doris Reyes of Alamogordo, NM, Marrietta “Sam” Boevers and husband, Robert of Crossville, TN and Linda Kay Bowman and husband, Donald of Sevierville, TN; 1 brother, Dale Freeman and wife, Verna of South Point; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Ronnie Johnson of South Point. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastor Aaron Childers officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the time of service. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
