Melvin D. Black, 48, of Burlington, Ohio, died Friday, September 6, 2013 at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Bride of Christ United Baptist Church fellowship hall.. Melvin was born September 17, 1964 in Huntington, WV, a son of Jean Blankenship France and the late Melvin Black, Jr. His hobbies included electronics and mechanics. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Ray Black. He is survived by his mother and step father, Jean Dale and John R. France; sister, Angela Gayle Black; brother Roger Lea Black; brother-in-law, Chris Cremeans; step sisters, Claudette Renee Gibson and Natasha Lea France; step brother, David France; niece, Krista Hinkle; nephew, Mike Cremeans; Friends, David Cowl, Bruce Carter, Kevin McComas, John Mays, Tammy; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
