    Edith Staton, 93 of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, September 16, 2013 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Edith was born June 29, 1920 in Pike Co., Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ben and Ailsie Blackburn McCoy and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, South Point. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Staton; one sister, Cleitus Varney; four brothers, J.W. McCoy, Eugene McCoy, Vernon McCoy and Ben McCoy, JR.; and one granddaughter, Rhonda West Summers. She was a licensed practical nurse for home health care. Edith is survived by two children, Bonnie D. (Ron) West and Sylvia (Richard) Bailey, all of South Point; three sisters-in-law, Bessie McCoy of Pike Co., KY, Frances South of Arkansas; and Esther McCoy of Chattaroy, WV; four grandchildren; Danny L. (Billie) West of Louisa, KY, Dale (Sandi) West, Richie (Theresa) Bailey and Mica Bailey (Shawn) Burns, all of South Point; 7 great grandchildren; and 12 great, great grandchildren.
