Walter Eugene Davis

Walter Eugene Davis, 79, of Burlington, Ohio, formerly of Ashland, KY passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at his residence. Walter was born October 25, 1939 in Winona, WV, a son of the late John Davis and Gracie Epps Martin. Walter retired from AK Steel after 26 years, was a US Army Veteran 82nd Airborne Division and a Veteran of the Air Force Reserves. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ailleen Diggs-Davis; two children, son, Jeffery S. Davis and daughter, Tracey Davis-Banks and her husband, Rodney Banks; two grandchildren, Eric C. Banks and Asia A. Banks; three sisters, Beverly, Denise and Sherri; four brothers, Harold Davis, Drake Davis, Martin Davis and Darrin Davis; two aunts, Ida Crawford and Lorene Haggins and her husband, John Haggins; and a host a relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Burlington, OH.
