Timothy Ray Akers

Timothy Ray Akers, 43, of Pedro, OH died Sunday, December 23, 2018.  He was born December 25, 1974 in Ironton, son of the late Michael Glenn Akers.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael James Akers; a brother, Michael James Akers; and a brother-in-law, Aaron Justice.  He was a graduate of Rock Hill High School, attended Campbell Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and was formerly a welder with Mike Enyart & Sons Construction.  Survivors include his wife, Amanda Lynn Justice Akers; his mother and step-father, Joyce Ann Barcus Akers Shuck and Donald Shuck of Pedro; three children, Nicholas Glenn Akers, Samuel Keith Akers and William Matthew Akers; two sisters, Rhonda (Gary) Callicoat of Willow Wood, OH and Brandi (Ricky) Wynn of Coal Grove, OH; three brothers, Christopher Akers of Pedro, Shawn (Misty) Akers of Pedro and Brandon (Beth) Akers of Ashland, KY; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Keith and Cheryl Justice of Ironton, OH; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and all of his special friends.  Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Bob Bradley officiating.  Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Ironton, OH.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
