Roger P. Davis

November 7, 1939 - January 7, 2019

Roger Perry Davis, 79, of Ironton, OH passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at Kings Daughter’s Medical Center, Ashland, KY.  He was born November 7, 1939 in Huntington, WV, son of the late Thomas and Ethel Perry Davis.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters and their spouses, Dorgean (Bob) Napier, Geraldine (J.D) Rodfer and Gladys (Arnold) Hager and one brother and his spouse, Thomas (Thelma) Davis, Jr.  Roger worked as a manager in the grocery business in the Huntington area for many years.  Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Bonnie Lewis Davis; four children, Jenny Davis, JoAnne (Daniel) Thompson, Susan (Bill) Jordan and Matt (Chrissy) Davis; one brother, Larry (Sherri) Davis and five grandchildren, Allison (Randy) Turner, Leah (Troy) Rogers, Nash Thompson, Isaiah Davis and Allen Jordan.  Funeral Service will be 2 PM Friday, January 11, 2019 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Willie Purdee officiating.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
