Edward E. Chapman

April 8, 1928 - February 6, 2019

Edward Elonzo Chapman, 90 of South Point, OH passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, OH.  He was born April 8, 1928 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Joseph and Ethel Louise Sawyers Chapman.  He was a Union Ironworker and worked on building bridges.  He was also a veteran of the US Army, an avid golfer and a Mason.  Edwards family includes, two sons, Jeffery Richard (Renee) and children, Jeffrey Ryan and Gracie Elizabeth, Christopher Lee (Carrie); a daughter, Judith Ann (Kerry) Jernigan and son Christopher Adam (deceased); a great grandchild, Laura Meredith and great, great grandchild, Kolton John all of Southern Maryland; two sisters, Joyce Saunders of South Point, OH and Judy Albrecht (deceased); and a brother, Joel Chapman (deceased).  Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements.  Graveside Service will be 12 PM Thursday.
