June 9, 2018Dear Saunders family, we are sorry to hear of Don's passing. I am especially sorry to see that it looks like he did pass away on your wedding anniversary, Joyce. But we know he is in a joyous place now. Terry, even tho I haven't seen you for ages, I will be praying for you and your Mom and family in the days ahead. I lost my Mom in 2009, and so I have sympathy. Take care.Posted by:

May 31, 2018I love this man. I met Mr. Saunders (Daddy Don), as I used to call him 46 yrs ago when I was in high school. He was an Air Force recruiter and had recruited two of my older brothers who served successfully in the Air Force. So I go down to the recruiting station as a junior in high school and he recruits me as well. He was just an awesome dude. After I got out of the Air Force and returned back home, I go into the VA Regional office and I be danged if I didn't run into him there. I gave him a big hug and we talked and he asked me what I was doing, I told him I was looking for a job and the next thing I know, he hooks me up with a job at the Veterans Administration. He just seemed to be always there from the time he recruited me, to the time he dropped me off at the airport for active duty, setting me up with a job and every time I would come down home and stop into SAMS CLUB, would make it my business to seek him out and get a hug and thank him for all he had done for me. I know that he is in HEAVEN smiling down and cracking a few lame jokes but I just wanted to let his friends and family know thru this message that this man was an AMAZING GUY, which I'm sure everyone who came in contact already knows. Rest In Heave Don....Posted by:
