Donald T. Harrah, Jr.

August 24, 1941 - January 16, 2018

Donald T. Harrah, Jr., 76, of South Point, Ohio died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 husband of Marian E. Grant Harrah and son of the late Mary and Thurlow Harrah.  Preceding him in death was a twin son, Ashley Mathew Harrah.  He is survived by daughters Pamela Bartrum of Ashland, KY and Angela McClure of South Point, OH; one son, Todd A. Harrah (Aimee) of South Point, OH; a step daughter, Jan Bess of Chesapeake, OH; ten grandchildren; Jason and Ashley Workman, Christina Webb, Samantha (Derek) Barker, Stephen (Tara) and Drake McClure, Makenzi, Baylie and Ava Harrah and Paige (Josh) Clifton; nine great grandchildren; four brothers-in-law; and six sisters-in-law.  Don was a graduate of Alderson High School and attended Marshall University where he played football and majored in engineering.  He worked in the engineering field and was an estimator for Bill Enyart and Sons for a number of years before retiring.  He was a member of Tri-State Baptist Temple.  Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, January 19, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Tim Jenkins and Pastor Larry Mullens officiating.  Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.  Friends may visit from 1 pm – 2 pm before the service on Friday at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
