Evelyn Blevins

Mary Evelyn Blevins, 98, of South Point, OH, widow of James M. Blevins died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at River’s Bend Health Care, South Point.  She was born July 30, 1919 in Lawrence County, OH, a daughter of the late Elton and Martha Pruitt Ferris.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cassie Ann Blevins; three sisters, Goldie Conley, Lillie Zuzzio, Lucille Smith; five infant brothers and a grandson, Aaron Blevins.  Survivors include her two sons, Ken C. (Betty) Blevins of South Point, OH and Denver L. (Hattie E.) Blevins of Bradenton, FL; a sister, Florence Hastings of Proctorville, OH; four grandchildren, Connie (Lewis) Rutherford, Thelma Blevins, Marion (Laurie) Blevins and Harry (Sheri) Blevins; three great grandchildren, Stephanie Blevins, Michael Blevins and Alex Blevins; two great-great grandchildren, Adam and Eli Blevins.  The family would like to thank the staff of River’s Bend Health Care for their loving care.  Funeral Services will be 10 AM Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Tom Ross officiating.  Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, OH.  Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, January 26, 2018 at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at  www.slackandwallace.com.
