Harvey D. Soper

Harvey D. Soper, 80, of South Point, OH died Monday, February 5, 2018 at King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland, KY.  He was born November 4, 1937 in Olean, NY, a son of the late Harold S. and Helen J. Reddish Soper.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Charles R. Davidson.  Harvey retired from Huntington Tri-State Airport as an Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration.  After retirement, he worked as a school bus driver for South Point Schools.  He is survived by his son, Brian (Amy) Soper of South Point, OH; two step-daughters, Tina (Randy Barnett) Davidson of South Point, OH, Tonya (Michael Day) Davidson of Ceredo, WV; one step-son, Robert (Teresa McPhilamy) Davidson of Cocoa Beach, FL; three brothers, Ronald (Angie) Soper of Buffalo, NY, Phillip (Patricia) Soper of Limestone, NY, Robert (Jeanette Lupis) Soper of Lakeland, FL; three grandchildren, Dalton Soper, Cadence Soper and Baily Parsons.  Funeral Services will be 2 PM Friday, February 9, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Lenny Campbell officiating.  Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
